"I read a lot. Normally about 1-2 books a week and I very rarely give a 5 star rating but so far this has been an incredible series & deserving of 5 stars! The storyline was fresh, unique & definitely kept my interest. All of the characters were likeable in a way that you truly liked them or you loved to hate them. The small town was a unique little world.. one I was sad to leave and look forward to visiting once again when the next book comes out. Normally I read sci-fi fantasy & prefer plenty of action with maybe a little romance in the background to jazz things up. This series didn't really have a lot of action or even romance... not in the traditional sense anyway but it didn't need it & I didn't miss it! The writing & storyline were so good it just didn't need any fluff. I not only look forward to the next book in this series but in anything this author is willing to put on paper."

I have loved this series, and each installment really is better than the last! The writing is clever without trying too hard, and the characters are rich and elicit emotional involvement. It's worth it for the clever chapter titles alone 😂. The new directions The Black Wasp takes this series makes me salivate for more.
